This
transportation
study was conducted to investigate the major transportation-related
problems
and issues created by the rapid population growth within the study area
and to
determine the capacity of existing roadways serving the
Arlington/Beaches area.
Furthermore, this study was undertaken to predict future transportation
demands
and potential problems, and to recommend improvements to the study
area's
roadway system to accommodate the travel demands for an acceptable
level of
service in 1995 and 2005. Contained in this report is a discussion of
the
specific transportation problems and issues observed within the study
area and
future transportation problem areas anticipated due to
continuing
growth. In addition, the report includes a description of the
methodology used
to arrive at the travel demand estimates for 1995 and 2005, analysis of
